I’m growing up

I’m not a baby anymore.
I’m not that girl who used to play with dolls;
The one who used to watch cartoons;
The baby of daddy and mommy;
The one who they used to take care of.
I’m growing up.
I’m leaving my childhood behind.
I’m leaving my innocence.
I’m leaving those times.
Times that I don’t want to forget about.
Life is about changing.
Before I was a flower bud.
Now my petals are opening to create the most beautiful rose.
I’m a rose.
A rose full of love and need of knowledge.
I’m growing up as the trees grow.
Like the birds migrate to find food.
I’m growing up as the time pass.
I’m growing up and I can’t go back.
New life, new people and new times.
I just tell myself to not forget who I am;
Where I’m from;
And why I’m where I’m.
Never give up,
Never go back.
The only thing I know is that I’m growing up.
