Facing the hurricane
If doomsday is approaching, I wonder.
With Hurricane Irene near,
People fear.
Evacuating to safety like a horror-struck deer.
Wind blows with force.
The waves dash against the bay.
Everything in the world seems to be grey.
Everyone can get through it, I pray.
We couldn’t hide away from misfortune.
It might be my last hour.
I won’t cower.
Cause I have ever existed in the world like a blooming flower.
I like your poem because I have some feeling of you. I think the hurricane is dangerous,it could make some people fear. You use the simile, "Cause I have ever existed in the world like a blooming flower." I really like this line.
ReplyDeleteSomething I like your poem is your tone which is encouraging. And I admire your bravery to face the hurricane, which also express clearly in your poem.
