“Make Sure”

Make sure that you cry when you come out of your mother’s womb.
Make sure that you get a warmness from breastfeeding.
Make sure that you learn to walk.
Make sure that you learn to say “Mommy” and “Daddy”.
Make sure that you attend a good kindergarten.
Make sure that you get along with your little classmate.
Make sure that you eat vegetables in your dish.
Make sure that your naughtiness is not a rotten apple that spoils the barrel.
Make sure that you don’t follow your friends and skip classes.
Make sure that you don’t get involved with drugs.
Make sure that you dress properly and your jeans won’t hit the ground.
Make sure that you make your parents feel so proud with your high school diploma.
Make sure that you do it right in college and graduate from that too.
Make sure that you are not wasting your time with something unsure.
Make sure that you get a job and start to keep your money.
Make sure that the job pays you well.
Make sure that you are ready to have a family.
Make sure that the one you choose is willing to go through bad dreams with you.
Make sure that you live your life as an elephant; peaceful, though powerful.
Make sure that you raise your children the way I did you.
Make sure that you can stand on your own when I’m gone.
Make sure that your daughter doesn’t forget who raised her since she was born.
Make sure that you will become a grandmother who has a kind smile.
Make sure that you meet me in heaven.

  1. I am really like this poem, because it shows your feeling, and also I know you want to make sure things, because you do not want to be a careless person. I think you won't be that. lol
