Growing Up
When I was growing up
I started like a bulb of a flower.
I grew and grew until I was like any other teenager.
When I was growing up
I am a germination of seeds.
When I was growing up
My heart smiled when I was in my mother’s arms.
During those times, I cried and wept as if someone had died.
One wrong thing, I came to America.
When I was growing up a thousand of days passed as if nothing was wrong.
Almost every single day was like a total repeat.
Over and over again as if it was the same day
On and on my childhood goes, it’s like it never ends.
Until today it was like I just traveled through a clock to the future.
And now, when I start thinking of what I want to be
When I was little, like for even a second, I’ll smile.
It is a very nice poem. I like this sentence "One wrong thing, I came to America." because I have same feeling in America at first year.
ReplyDeleteI like you said,"Over and over again as if it was the same day," because I have same feeling as you. We always do same thing everyday.
ReplyDeleteyes, i agree with you...maybe came to American not us want, but we are here now, just think future, don't think past too much, that will make us sad
